Problem


Before implementing GRID, Sarpsborg Fire Service faced challenges with fragmented routines and a lack of systematisation in their daily operations. Checklists and key operational information were spread across various tools and paper-based formats, making it difficult to maintain consistency and ensure updates were visible to all.

Equipment inspections, duty plans, and training records were handled manually or via outdated platforms, leading to inefficiencies and communication gaps. The team needed a unified solution that could support both operational and preventive work in real time.

Solution

Sarpsborg Fire Service implemented Bliksund GRID in January 2025, following a short pre-launch period in late 2024.

GRID replaced scattered tools with one centralised, user-friendly platform for managing key processes such as equipment checks, vehicle maintenance, training logs, duty schedules, and internal  communication.

The implementation was smooth and quickly adopted across departments, providing a clear structure and intuitive workflows.

Before, we didn’t have a good overview of the internal information that was scattered both digitally and analogue. GRID solved it all in one user-friendly platform that was incredibly quick to set up and implement.
